ADMISSIONSOverview
The European Journalism Institute seeks applicants with education
or experience in journalism. Participants will be selected based on their qualifications
and application materials.
Admitted participants will receive scholarships covering housing, some meals,
reading materials, and special events. Participants are responsible for travel
costs, some lunches and dinners, and personal expenses. Each participant will be required to pay at least
€ 200.00 Euros.
To be considered for admission, one must submit the Online Application Form and
the application materials listed on our website via our online application system
Apply Yourself, mail, or by fax before the application deadline. All faxes must
have a cover page with the applicant’s name listed on each page. The Fund
for American Studies is not responsible for incomplete applications. Material
received after the application deadline will not be accepted. Do not send attachments
by email. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. A complete application
consists of the following:

Typed, one page resume or curriculum vitae (CV): A resume or CV must be in
an outline format with at least the following headings: Education, Work Experience,
and Activities.
- A published article translated into English along with orginial publication OR
- A typed essay not to exceed 500 words on the following topic: What is the definition of free media and what influence/role should government have over regulating the media market?
- A typed statement-of-purpose not to exceed 500 words stating your reasons for applying to the Institute, and what you would like to gain by attending the Institute.
- Phone Interview: You will be required to conduct a phone interview with a member of the TFAS International staff. You will be contacted with all of the details of the interview at the primary email address you provide in your application.
